Hooyo, the Somali word for mother, is where this brand began. A woman who never measured anything. Who mixed by memory and instinct. Whose daughters had the healthiest hair in every room they walked into.

She mixed it by the window, humming to herself. She never once thought it was extraordinary. To her it was simply what you used. What you always used.
